Comments:
A total of 102 specimens of cicadas were collected on Mt. Bosavi and in the Kikori Basin in southern Papua New Guinea. These specimens belong to 14 species and 4 genera. Four species are described as new. The phylogenetic relationships of these species, all belonging to the Chlorocystini, are analyzed. The distributions and phylogenetic relationships of the species collected at Mt. Bosavi indicate biogeographic relationships of that mountain with the mountain ranges of central New Guinea and the Papuan peninsula as well as with northwestern, western, and the lower parts of southern New Guinea.
